Steering Committee 

The interdisciplinary Steering Committee of iHEAD oversees its scientific management, aiming to achieve several key objectives, which include monitoring project progress, addressing technical challenges, and facilitating collaboration. The committee organizes annual meetings and workshops, promoting scientific exchange and outreach activities.

Additionally, the Steering Committee coordinates the development of a teaching module on "Immunometabolism in Health and Disease," intended for Master and early PhD students, with the goal of future transferability. Discussions are also being held to establish initiatives such as a CRC/Transregio, while promoting gender equality is supervised by the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Committee. The spokesperson, Prof. Dr. Alga Zuccaro, leads iHEAD, represents the initiative & team externally, and chairs meetings, supported by an administrative coordinator handling logistical and financial matters.

 

The iHEAD Initiative is funded via the “Profilbildungsinitiative 2022” (funding number: PB22-025A)  by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
